Embedded Software Engineer (HDMI)

Infopulse Poland welcomes talented professionals to join our team as an Embedded Software Engineer (HDMI) for Out Loud Audio project in in our Warsaw office.

Our world-known customer Bose has spent 50 years finding new ways to bring quality audio and simplicity to people - in their home, on the go, or wherever music is enjoyed. The Out Loud Audio group is focused on bringing these values to the kitchen, den, home theater room, TV room, or living room. The goal is to provide a premium polished experience and bring great sound to the whole home, while being true to the motto ‘Works Simply, Simply Works’.

There is a catch though, making things simple is hard work.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Work collaboratively with other cross-functional engineers to execute software delivery plans
  • Design and implement software components within the framework of a software architecture
  • Implement, re-architect, and maintain control of HDMI ICs including the CEC, ARC, and eARC functionality
  • Implement software support for new hardware ICs and functionality related to HDMI
  • Contribute to all phases of the software development, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, test coordination, documentation, and lifecycle management
  • Develop automated acceptance tests for user interface, embedded components, and application software components


  • Experience with C in an embedded environment
  • Experience with HDMI ICs or HDMI-CEC
  • Experience with 32-bit microcontrollers (Cortex M0, M0+, M3, M4, and M7, peripheral configuration, DMA, memory management)
  • Experience with serial peripherals (I2C, UART, SPI)
  • Experience with troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Experience designing within an embedded RTOS environment
  • Expertise with basic lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, etc.)
  • Experience with source code management (SCM) tools (Subversion, Git, Perforce, etc.)
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and exposure to basic hardware design and the ability to read electrical schematics

Will be an advantage

  • Experience with build and configuration tools (Electric Commander, Make, CMake, Conan/Groovy)
  • Experience with ALSA, Pulse Audio, V4L, or DirectFB
  • Experience with procedural, object oriented, and functional programming concepts
  • Exposure to debugging with GDB
  • Exposure to HDCP, HDMI, HDMI-CEC, DisplayPort specification and compliance tools
