Frontend VB.NET Developer

Infopulse is inviting a talented professional to join our project as a VB.NET Developer for our respectable client Valmet remotely in Ukraine or Europe.

The team is building a product to stabilize the plant against upsets and reduce variability. The software ensures that every control loop completes its mission, keeping the plant at optimum performance. The software assesses the performance of instruments, valves, and controllers and then prioritizes the corrective actions needed to drive a plant to its optimum performance. 8000+ licenses for the software are sold globally, with 300k+ control loops monitored. Some of the customers are Chevron, 3M, and British Petroleum.

The cooperation with Valmet is more expansive than a single project. We aim to build a strong team capable of doing any tasks associated with the product.

The software has been in the market for more than 20 years. It runs on Windows Server and has been built using Microsoft tools.

Areas of Responsibility

• Review and elaborate requirements specifications

• Test-Driven Development for easier product maintenance

• This position involves maintaining and extending applications that use relational databases

• Analysis of User feedback to improve the UX of the app even further

• Development of new UI portal sections and new solutions

• Recommend design improvements or corrections to engineers throughout the development process

• Suggest changes to the SDLC processes and implement them

• Maintain effective communication with the project team

Qualifications

• 5+ years of development experience, including at least 3 years in VB6 and VB.NET

• Experience with database access, C/C++/C#

• Understand Software Development Life Cycle, defect management, Agile process, test automation

• At least upper-intermediate level of English knowledge

• An ideal candidate would have industrial automation experience (but this is not mandatory)
