Infopulse is inviting a talented professional to join our growing team as a Telco Engineer (IREG Tester) in a Telecom Team for our respectful client BICS.
Areas of Responsibility
- Cooperation within Roaming Operations Team with Roaming Coordinators and Roaming Engineers and report to the Global Roaming Manager
- To perform, document and report standard roaming tests and other International Roaming related tasks
- Testing for GSM, GPRS, CAMEL, LTE, VoLTE and upcoming 5G services in roaming (such as MO/MT calls, SMS, call forward, data transfer, online charging etc)
- Troubleshooting of failed GSM/CAMEL scenarios (based on SCCP, MAP, SIP/ISUP traces and logs)
- Troubleshooting of failed GPRS/LTE scenarios (based on GTP and Diameter traces and logs)
- Specify roaming data changes to MSC, HLR, SCCP, I.N. platforms SGSN, associated Servers and Firewalls
- Communication with the mobile networks worldwide for technical issues resolving
- IREG testing (IR24/35/32/38/25 etc)
- TADIG testing (TAP flow and TAP files validation)
- Updating IREG database with actions, to ensure status of tests is known
- Ensuring the roaming test schedule is followed and completed as planned
- Input to data builds to schedule/ execute the tests
- Assisting in ad-hoc queries/ work that may arise relating to international roaming partners and other proactive tasks
Qualifications
- MS/BS degree in IT, Telecommunications, Electronics or equivalent professional qualification
- Relevant work experience in a mobile network or mobile service provider environment
- Prior experience of IREG and TADIG testing is an added advantage
- Knowledge of International Roaming - SS7 stack knowledge (SCCP, MAP, CAP)
- GTP, Diameter protocols knowledge
- GSM/ LTE networks architecture knowledge
- Basic LTE-M/NB-IoT or 5G knowledge
- Knowledge and experience with core network data implementation on mobile network nodes
- Work experience with remote testing tool such as Global Roamer (SIGOS/Mobileum)
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
