Backbone Build Engineer (m/f/d)

Infopulse, part of Tietoevry Create, is inviting a talented professional to join our growing team as a Backbone Build Engineer for Arelion, a leading IP services provider, recognized for its vast global network and 100% organically grown fiber backbone. They offer dedicated internet access, IP addresses, cloud connect, ethernet services, and optical fiber solutions to sectors like financial services, government, and gaming, ensuring reliability and scalability for major brands. Backbone Build Engineer will join our customer's Internal Delivery team and will be responsible for data center migrations, fiber installations, and network capacity expansions. A strong technical background in using CLI on Cisco routers and expertise in network infrastructure projects is essential for this role.

Areas of Responsibility

• Migrate data centers and customer circuits efficiently and effectively
• Collaborate with third-party providers to install new fiber for increased network capacity
• Coordinate with field technicians to patch fibers in data centers
• Manage and resolve various escalations and high-impact infrastructure projects
• Utilize CLI on Cisco routers for network configuration and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Proven experience in network infrastructure projects, including data center migrations and fiber installations
• Proficiency in using CLI on Cisco routers
• Strong understanding of network protocols and configurations
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations
• Effective communication and coordination skills to work with internal teams and external providers

Will be an advantage

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent
• Experience with other network equipment and technologies
• Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies
