On March 16, 2017, Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment (UCEQA), Infopulse and American Councils for International Education held a press conference, dedicated to the External Independent Testing system renewal, and the launch of the mobile application “My ZNO” available for free download to all testing participants.
Infopulse is proud to be a part of the Ukrainian External independent testing (EIT) success, organized by UCEQA, and sponsored by the USAID. Infopulse first joined the EIT project in 2016 and largely contributed to ensuring secureness, transparency, and efficiency of the EIT software system.
External Independent Testing helps to estimate the academic proficiency of the secondary school graduates during their admission to the universities and colleges. The system provides Ukrainian public education with transparent and corruption free admission process. With the help of the web-based EIT system, all testing participants can register to undertake exams, file their documents, check personalized examination schedule and receive exams results.
As any delays or incidents could endanger the success of the University Admission Campaign on the nationwide scale, the project required an in-depth analysis, efficient decisions and meeting an immovable deadline determined by the Ukrainian laws. The methodological standards of Infopulse allowed involving international experience and world’s best practices. The online admission system was largely redesigned by Infopulse and many critical components were refined in accordance with the modern standards and governmental regulations, including cybersecurity aspect, developed together with our partners from the Ukrainian Institute of Information Technology JSC. For more technical information, please check our case study.
For the first time ever in 2016, the certificates with the results of the final state academic assessment were sent to the educational institutions in a pure digital form only. The certificates data integrity and consistency were confirmed with the digital signature. The results of the UCEQA and Infopulse collaboration in development and implementation of the External Independent Testing 2016 are very productive. For us, Infopulse has become a truly reliable and a professional partner.
Infopulse and their respected partners conducted all necessary operations and changes to the EIT system, required for the launch of the admission campaign 2017. As the continuation of the partnership with UCEQA, Infopulse with assistance from BIONIC University developed and launched the official mobile app for the External Testing participants.
“MY ZNO” mobile app allows the testing participants to get an anytime-anywhere access on a handheld device to the personalized exam schedule and testing results.
The primary app functions (available after registering with personal testing certificate number and PIN-code):
- Exams schedule in selected subjects and addresses of the External Testing Centers.
- Sync exams schedule with the system calendar of the mobile device.
- Exams date and time reminders via push notifications.
- Personalized results of External Testing with push notifications.
- External Testing campaign and UCEQA official news.
- Possibility to view the previous year’s testing results.
